Evangelynn (Evi) Stratton has had a varied and
rewarding career as a professional songwriter/musician and minor recording
artist. Writing, however, has always been her passion, starting with several children's stories that she also illustrated.
Her recent endeavor into the
historical genre is something for which she felt destined. A history buff and
founder of the local Canterbury Literary Society, the medieval era has always
held a fascination for Evi. "I like to incorporate factual events in my
books," she explains. "It gives the stories a sense of reality, and
the reader actually learns history." Reading her books, one
gets the sense that she really does her homework!
She has now completed four historicals:
the hilarious RHIANNON, and the more serious LADY trilogy, LADY KNIGHT, LADY
SEER, and LADY BLUE. Coming soon is the non-historical VAIN WISH.
Evi has a business degree and lives in Washington State
with her husband, three children, two horses, three cats, dog, and turtle.
She has also written several short comedy pieces,
which will soon appear in syndication nationwide.
